Choosing fun toys for indoor play

I found with my grandson that a lot of the outdoor climb on and play toys can be used in the house in the winter and keeps the kids busy. I kept a climb, play and slide in the dining room and all three of my grand kids played on that. The ladder and slide folded up so it was pretty much out of the way. Little Tikes has a lot of play on pieces that can be used indoors if you have a sun room, play room or basement. Think about that when you are purchasing toys for Christmas or birthdays. Our kids also had fun and still do playing with the Little Tikes car. I bet they have opened the door and gotten in and out a million times. I gave them an old set of keys which they use in the car and this is the second year they have played with that in the house. I put a Playschool railroad track on my dining room table and they love to play with that train. I don't use the formal dining table anyway and it is up off the floor so I don't have to move it to sweep or walk around. There are far more outdoor toys that you can use indoors than you think. Keep an open mind and use your imagination.
